The data in this publication consists of:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;micro;CT data&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Phantom_nlm_uint16_1081x1068x919_50um.raw:&amp;nbsp; &amp;micro;CT of the Phantom. Voxel size = 50 &amp;micro;m. Format: 3D-array of uInt16, x=1:1081, y=1:1068, z=1:919.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;
Positron emission tomography data&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Phantom_PTFE_83Sr_PET:&amp;nbsp; PET data is stored as three-dimensional binary arrays of floats, with a voxel size of 1.15 mm. *.v contains the volume, *.hv contains the interfile header&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The data is presented with the Scatter, Random and RandomMismatch-Corrections from STIR (Thielemans et al., 2012) applied.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;
Please note: There is a fiducial present in both CT (2x10mm cylinder attached to the outer wall), as well as in PET data.&lt;br&gt;
The positions of those does NOT coincide in the presented data, as the CT data was acquired for a different experiment, and alignment for this study was instead conducted based on the bore hole positions.&lt;/p&gt;</subfield>
